So, you just put a higher air box cover on with an open side to pull in more engine hot air, so the intercooler now has to work harder to cool the air back down. Maybe I'm missing something?

Great video, I think I might get one for my X1! In the long term have you come across any weird performance issues? Anything like boost spikes, compressor surge etc? I'm always hesitant to mess with turbo exhausts without retuning as well. I know this is a small upgrade, but I just bought the car and don't want to create issues! Thanks again!

Ok I have a bmw e39 530 diesel m sport here in Ireland for 17 years now and sprayed all door rubbers and door panel clips with a common silicone spray that can be bought in almost any car auto shop and I have had no kreaking squeaky noises since and that was 17 years back so try that stuff, 😮

I know this video is older, but a mod i did to my cbr600rr i love. you can do this to any bike with a cable clutch. its a stunt, eazy pull universal block. There cheaper then $30 on Amazon. It goes in between your clutch lever and line. It makes the clutch pull very light. Less than half of what it was. It also makes the friction zone larger. You can also convert your clutch from cable to a hydraulic very cheap and easy as well around $60 for a universal kit. Done both and they both worked great. I just liked the stunt block better due to having a larger friction zone. Even though the kit is cheap, its cnc aluminum and no difference then the expensive ones. Its been about 3 years and 20k miles since i did it to my bike. And several of my friends' bikes, no problems

Im curious about your long term thoughts on Bootmod3 stage 2 on the x1. I have a 2018 x1 28i xdrive and have searched high and low for mods like intercoolers and charge pipes but there literally are none. Even my local tuner said its very rare to see x1s come to his shop and it's never for tuning or mods. I don't want to blow 800CAD on BM3 and be as disappointed as you were in this video. bootmod3 on my 3 series bummer was incredible, night and day difference even with just stage 1+, id really like to chat with you about your thoughts. I’ve wanted Bimmercode for a while, but before buying anything my engine started running Bad and threw an engine light. I bought one of the dongles suggested by Bimmercode and read the code with the app that came with it. Cylinder 3 misfire. So I swapped coils with #2 and the code changed to cylinder 2 misfire. After changing all plugs and coils the engine light wouldn’t go out. Drove for a week, about 100 miles. So I bought Bimmerlink and now wish I’d started there. The stored error reading said straight up coil #2 was not working. My issue wasn’t hard for any mildly experienced person to figure out, but having it spelled out would have better! Good stuff.

How can I code out the chime all together for error/malfunction warning? I hate that annoying noise specially when you have bulb malfunction or weather drops below 37F. I wish they never added a chime. Visual only warning is all that is needed.

This is exactly why the only parts I get are OE. Buy cheap stuff get cheap results.

It would probably be faster if you brake boosted just a bit, I also have the f48 x1 xdrive28i so I know there’s turbo lag

I wish they’d create this for the right hand drive version. That gap is the dumbest design idea from BMW. This solves it, but is only available for left hand drive versions of the BMW X1 F48

Why don't you use your turn signals? They were very annoying to start with, then in iDrive I turned off the 3 function option. Now they just work normal. So I use them all the time now.
